Senior Wednesday at Wichita Art Museum: Art Film

Senior Wednesday at Wichita Art Museum: Art Film

Join us for a screening of the PBS American Masters documentary, Dorothea Lange: Grab a Hunk of Lightning. The screening is in conjunction with the new exhibition "Dignity vs Despair:Dorthea Lange and Depression-Era Photography, 1933-1942 from The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Known for her powerful photographic images from the Great Depression, Lange sought to bring her subjects alive by transmitting raw emotions and capturing the human condition. We encourage you to explore the exhibition afterward. Senior Wednesday offers lifelong learning opportunities for active adults 55+. Doors open at 10 am for coffee and treats; movie begins at 10:30 am. $2 admission; free for WAM members.
